Injection Molding Overview
What’s Injection Molding?
Injection molding is a plastic molding method in which molten plastic is injected into a mold and cooled and cured to obtain a plastic product of the desired shape. This method has the advantages of short cycle time, strong adaptability, high productivity, etc. It is widely used in many fields such as home appliances, automobiles, construction, and medical care.
What are the main advantages of injection molding?
- High efficiency and productivity: it can realize automatic production, its short molding cycle, easy and quick mold replacement, high production efficiency, very suitable for mass production.
- High precision and quality: injection molding can produce plastic products with complex shapes and precise dimensions, with high quality appearance and high consistency and stability.
- Wide choice of materials: it is suitable for molding almost all thermoplastics and a variety of thermosetting plastics, and the most suitable material can be selected according to the performance requirements of the product.
